Boston Red Sox

GOOOOOOO RED SOX!

So I now consider myself an expert in baseball... well the way to get the hotdog mans attention and how to sing Sweet Caroline at the bottom of the 8th inning!

It is such a cool atmosphere that regardless of not paying close attention to the game and the fact we lost to Miami it was an exciting and memorable experience.

As part of Summer School there are numerous trips you can purchase including tickets to Fenway. It was $35 and we were front row right behind where the Red Sox pitches warm up. It was perfect location. As it was an excursion you picked up your tickets at the activities office and either went as a group on the T or got your own way there. The electric energy on the train, that is way to small for the amount of people that were on it, only made the anticipation heighten.

Part of the experience was definitely the food! There are tons of people walking around yelling out Hotdogs, candy floss, freshly squeezed lemonade, pizza etc etc. I even tried fried dough which was so sweet but delicious (kinda of like a flat doughnut).  And Nancy (above) got peanuts and cracker jacks so that we could hold them while singing "take me out to the ball game" in the 7th inning.

My attempt at artsy photos! These guys were right in front of us warming up- such great seats!

I may not know all the ins and outs of baseball but the experience was great and its a must do if you are in the states for baseball season!
