It's sooooo hot that all I want to do is go somewhere that has air con and fall asleep!
Nicole, George and I decided to go spend the day at the cinema's where it would be nice and cool, however we ended up at the Prudential Centre to shop first. It was so nice and cool! Had lots of fun in Sephora putting on makeup and in this tea store that had free iced tea (we may or may not have gone in there a few times lol). We also went to this costume shop so that Nicole could buy a new wig for our performance. It was hilarious trying on all the wigs and I promise you I will never go blonde it looks so weird!!
We had dinner in the food court and I had the best toasted sandwich with pesto, chicken and tomato (awwww I miss my pesto). Then we caught the train to Copley and went to this massive cinema complex. We decided on the Heat with Sandra Bullock and Melissa Mccarthy. Such a funny, laugh out loud movie, the cinema was in stitches. We were about 3/4 of the way through when Bullock's characters is in Boston and her car gets blown up, when the movie stopped and fire alarm started to go off. Everyone was told to quickly evacuate so we headed outside to where there were 100's of people to see what was going on, but with numerous police/ fire/ ambulance people turning up we though it was best to leave straight away (We later found out there was a fire in the building above the cinema.).
I have never been afraid or thought twice about going to the cinema in Australia and while I consider myself a optimistic person I did have the thought going into the movies that something could happen. It's really interesting to be a state where you don't feel safe being in public. I have never really experienced that before and feel so lucky its not something I live with each day- I love being Australian!
